Dec 11

Well it hasn't been easy these last few days. I've been surrounded by so much temptation.

Friday night I had a work function but again stuck to Vodka which was ok. Saturday I had a kids party to go to and you know what the food at those things are like. Sausage rolls, pies, lollies and chips everywhere I turned but I am proud to say I didn't indulge at all. On Saturday night I had visitors of my own but again resisted to eat anything I had bought out for them to share.

Sunday I went out for dinner but that was easy. I had a beef salad which was so so tasty. An easy day yesterday and then today again I was taken out for lunch - Japanese this time. We had a banquet so I just ate 1 of everything instead of my allocated 2 pieces. I have to admit I've been quite hungry tonight but I had some jelly and I'm about to hit the sack and then it will be a new day.

Weigh in No. 2

I have to admit I was a bit nervous this week. Since my last weigh in I had attended a work lunch, a big girlie night out, a work bbq and another social dinner. I must've done something right because I lost 1 kilo. I only drank at one of these functions and I had no bread, pasta or rice at any of the outings.

Day 12

Well I'm happy to report that things are going great guns.

I had a work lunch on Friday so I had my protein serve and lots of salad at the pub and then on Saturday night when I was out with my girlfriends I again stuck to the vegies, salad and some wonderful grilled seafood. The portion was bigger than it would normally be but that was too be expected.

The rest of the weekend was right on track.

Tomorrow night I'm out with friends again so steak and salad - here I come :)

Day 8 - 1st Weigh in

Wow.

I'm very happy to report a 3 kilo loss in this 1st week. I understand big losses are the norm in your 1st week and it does feel very rewarding.

I am amazed that this hasn't been the struggle I thought it would be. I think committing to buying the shakes and having them sitting in my cupboard attributes to that.

This week will be interesting. I am going out for dinner 2 nights this week so I'll have to play it real smart. The drinking tomorrow night will be a challenge but I guess if I stay away from the bubblies and stick to Vodka & Soda that will be a safer choice. Not to mention how quickly I think the bubbles would affect my head.

Anyway, I'll keep you updated.

Day 6

Well TTOM hasn't arrived yet but my tummy is a bit bloated and I'm guessing that's the reason.

I'm really surprised at how I've gone from binge eating every night to just sticking to this program. I come home from work around 6, have my second shake for the day while I'm preparing dinner and then by the time I've had that, snacking is the last thing on my mind.

Actually tonight I tried the mashed cauliflower with a dollop of ricotta to smooth it out with a 1/4 of chicken. Heaven :)

Day 5

It’s a strange world sometimes isn’t it?

Maybe it’s all in the mind but since committing to this programme I’ve found it quite easy to let go of all the bingeing, the emotional eating etc. My cravings pre TTOM haven’t even really eventuated which I’ve found quite amusing.

This morning I did my 1st gym session since I’ve begun TF and to play it safe I lowered my weights so I wouldn’t get any quick blood rushes and I got through my session ok. Bring on the weight loss :)

Day 3

Wish me luck.

Today starts my 4 days of madness as TTOM approaches. I’ll have to battle headaches, bloating & cravings but it should all be over by Wednesday hopefully.

Hmmm – I think this goes under the ‘too much information’ category.

Day 2

Going great guns, thanks for asking :)

I ended up having some ricotta for dinner last night with some veggies.

I always worry about my eating habits on a Saturday. My normal routine is wake up, have brekky, do some housework, go to the shops, take B to sport, come home, veg out and graze for most of the day.
Today I woke up, had a premade TF in the freezer with a cup of tea. Went out shopping with B to stock up on fruit and veg, came home for lunch and had a massive salad. Being a Saturday I thought I would hold off from eating my 2 fruits until later in the day. Took B to sport, came home and had a shake and some jelly. It's about 4pm now and I'm feeling really happy. I've been running to the loo heaps, which I know will slow down, but I haven't had the 'what am I going to eat next?' feeling.
Dinner is probably going to be some veggies with either tuna or cottage cheese tonight. You know what the funny thing is? I'm not even worried about it.

Day 1

Day 1 - Weigh in 96 kilos. (BMI - 35.3)

Breakfast
Well I woke this morning all pumped for my 1st day on the new program. I had pre-made a Mocha shake the night before into an ice cream for breakfast. I found it had over froze so I had to put it in the microwave for a minute to thaw a bit. It was very tasty and filling.

Morning snack
I decided to bring in 10 strawberries as my morning snack - I guess it's a bit of a mind game being able to eat 10 things instead of 1 piece of fruit. I managed to eat 7 of them.

Lunch
I bought in some lettuce, tomato, 1/2 a capsicum, cucumber and snow peas which I made into a huge salad. I've decided to eat my lunch shake and arvo piece of fruit as soon as I get home which is usually 6pm. This will allow me to have a later dinner being a Friday as I tend to stay up late.

Mood
Very positive. I had a cup of tea this morning and haven't had a headache which I sort of expected to have from the lack of caffeine. I suppose I never really drank more than 2 a day anyway so not sure if I'm meant to be feeling the effect of it's withdrawal as yet.

I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how dinner went.

Well here I am

Hi and welcome to all who stumble onto this blog.

Tomorrow, Friday 23 2007, I'm going to do something I've never done before and that is start an actual diet. I will be going on the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program. A quick breakdown of the program is you substitute breakfast and lunch for a shake, have 2 pieces of fruit a day, a serve of protein and veggies for dinner. It sounds hard and it probably will be.

I'll be back tomorrow with my 1st weigh in, some more thoughts and who knows what else.

Thanks for visiting.
